T hen an oath before the Lord shall be required between the two that the man has not taken his neighbor’s property; and the owner of it shall accept his word and not require him to make good the loss.

să se facă un jurământ în Numele Domnului între cele două părţi. Cel căruia i se încredinţase animalul va mărturisi că n-a pus mâna pe bunurile celuilalt; stăpânul va accepta jurământul şi celălalt nu va fi dator să-i restituie nimic.
