H owever, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me before all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah he chose the house of my father; and among the sons of my father He was pleased to make me king over all Israel;

Tuttavia l'Eterno, il DIO d'Israele, ha scelto me fra tutta la casa di mio padre, perché divenissi re d'Israele per sempre. Egli infatti ha scelto Giuda come principe e nella casa di Giuda la casa di mio padre e tra i figli di mio padre gli è piaciuto di fare me re di tutto Israele.
