H owever, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me before all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah he chose the house of my father; and among the sons of my father He was pleased to make me king over all Israel;

Pero Jehová el Dios de Israel me eligió de toda la casa de mi padre, para que perpetuamente fuese rey sobre Israel; porque a Judá escogió por caudillo, y de la casa de Judá a la familia de mi padre; y de entre los hijos de mi padre se agradó de mí para ponerme por rey sobre todo Israel.
