D avid put garrisons in Syrian Damascus, and the Syrians became servants and brought tribute. The Lord preserved and gave victory to David wherever he went.

ثُمَّ وَضَعَ فِرَقاً من الجُنودِ في دِمَشْقَ، فِي أرامَ. وَأصْبَحَ الأرامِيُّونَ خَدَمَ داوُدَ يَدْفَعُونَ لَهُ الجِزْيَةَ. وَكانَ اللهُ يَنْصُرُ داوُدَ حَيثُما تَوَجَّهَ.
