T hen David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.

ثُمَّ وَضَعَ فِرَقاً من الجُنودِ في دِمَشْقَ، فِي أرامَ. وَأصْبَحَ الأرامِيُّونَ خَدَمَ داوُدَ يَدْفَعُونَ لَهُ الجِزْيَةَ. وَكانَ اللهُ يَنْصُرُ داوُدَ حَيثُما تَوَجَّهَ.
