K ështu Madiani u poshtërua përpara bijve të Izraelit dhe nuk ngriti më kokë; dhe vendi pati paqe dyzet vjet me radhë, gjatë gjithë jetës së Gedeonit.

Thus Midian was broken before the sons of Israel so that they lifted up their heads no more. And the land rested forty years in the days of Gideon.
