E ntão ordenou o rei Zedequias que pusessem a Jeremias no átrio da guarda; e deram-lhe um bolo de pão cada dia, da rua dos padeiros, até que se gastou todo o pão da cidade. Assim ficou Jeremias no átrio da guarda.

Then Zedekiah the king commanded, and they committed Jeremiah to the court of the guard, and a round loaf of bread from the bakers’ street was given to him daily until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.
