V ua Sê-đê-kia bèn truyền giữ Giê-rê-mi trong nơi hành lang lính canh, mỗi ngày phát cho một chiếc bánh của phố hàng bánh, cho đến chừng bánh trong thành hết trơn. Giê-rê-mi ở trong hành lang lính canh là như vậy.

Then Zedekiah the king commanded, and they committed Jeremiah to the court of the guard, and a round loaf of bread from the bakers’ street was given to him daily until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.
