` From Aroer, which by the edge of the brook Arnon, and the city which by the brook, even unto Gilead there hath not been a city which too high for us; the whole hath Jehovah our God given before us.

De la Aroer, care este pe malul uedului Arnon şi de la cetatea care se află în defileu, până la Ghilad n-a existat nici o cetate prea puternică pentru noi. Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru, ni le-a dat pe toate.
