` And Sihon king of Heshbon hath not been willing to let us pass over by him, for Jehovah thy God hath hardened his spirit, and strengthened his heart, so as to give him into thy hand as at this day.

Ma Sihon, re di Heshbon, non ci volle lasciar passare nel suo territorio, perché l'Eterno, il tuo Dio, gli aveva indurito lo spirito e reso ostinato il cuore, per darlo nelle tue mani, come è appunto oggi.
