a nd all the Greeks having taken Sosthenes, the chief man of the synagogue, were beating before the tribunal, and not even for these things was Gallio caring.

Then they all seized Sosthenes, the leader of the synagogue, and beat him right in front of the judgment seat. But Gallio paid no attention to any of this.
