F or though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, A remnant doth return of it, A consumption determined, Overflowing righteousness.

For though your population, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of it will return. The destruction is decreed (decided upon and brought to an issue); it overflows with justice and righteousness.
