A nd hearken unto him doth the king of Asshur, and the king of Asshur goeth up unto Damascus, and seizeth it, and removeth it to Kir, and Rezin he hath put to death.

Царь Ассирии исполнил его просьбу, напав на Дамаск и взяв его. Он увел его жителей в плен в Кир, а Рецина предал смерти. Ахаз перестраивает храм (2 Пар. 28: 23-25)
