W hen David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, “Blessed is Yahweh, who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and has kept back his servant from evil. Yahweh has returned the evildoing of Nabal on his own head.” David sent and spoke concerning Abigail, to take her to himself as wife.

大 衛 聽 見 拿 八 死 了 ， 就 說 ： 應 當 稱 頌 耶 和 華 ， 因 他 伸 了 拿 八 羞 辱 我 的 冤 ， 又 阻 止 僕 人 行 惡 ； 也 使 拿 八 的 惡 歸 到 拿 八 的 頭 上 。 於 是 大 衛 打 發 人 去 ， 與 亞 比 該 說 ， 要 娶 他 為 妻 。
