S aul said, “Tell David, ‘The king desires no dowry except one hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king’s enemies.’” Now Saul thought he would make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.

І сказав Саул: Так скажете Давидові: Не бажає цар заплати за молоду, а бажає тільки сто крайніх плотів филистимських, щоб пімститися на неприятелях царя. А Саул думав тим зробити, щоб Давид попав до руки филистимлян.
