T hen Saul said to Jonathan, “Tell me what you have done!” Jonathan told him, and said, “I certainly did taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand; and behold, I must die.”

Allora Saul disse a Gionatan: «Dimmi quello che hai fatto». Gionatan glielo confessò e disse: «Sì, io assaggiai un po’ di miele con la punta del bastone che avevo in mano; eccomi qui: morirò!»
