T hen the Philistines said, “Who has done this?” They said, “Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife, and given her to his companion.” The Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.

Dân Phi-li-tin hỏi: Ai làm điều đó? Người ta đáp: Sam-sôn, rể của người Thim-na, bởi vì người Thim-na bắt vợ hắn mà gả cho một người bạn của hắn. Dân Phi-li-tin bèn đi lên, thiêu nàng luôn với cha nàng trong lửa.
