T hen the Philistines said, “Who has done this?” They said, “Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife, and given her to his companion.” The Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.

Los filisteos se preguntaban quién habría hecho eso, y cuando les contestaron que había sido Sansón, el yerno del timnateo, porque le había quitado a su mujer y se la había dado a un amigo suyo, los filisteos fueron y quemaron a la mujer y a su padre.
