T he elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “Therefore we have turned again to you now, that you may go with us, and fight with the children of Ammon. You will be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

Gli anziani di Galaad dissero a Jefte: «è proprio per questo che siamo tornati ora da te, affinché tu venga con noi a combattere contro i figli di Ammon e sii nostro capo su tutti gli abitanti di Galaad».
