A nd the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, Therefore we have returned to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be head over all of us the inhabitants of Gilead.

Gli anziani di Galaad dissero a Jefte: «è proprio per questo che siamo tornati ora da te, affinché tu venga con noi a combattere contro i figli di Ammon e sii nostro capo su tutti gli abitanti di Galaad».
