A ll the cities of the Levites among the possessions of the children of Israel were forty-eight cities with their suburbs.

وَكانَ مَجمُوعُ مُدُنِ اللّاوِيِّينَ فِي داخِلِ أراضِي بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ ثَماني وَأربَعِينَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ مَراعِيها.
