A ll the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs.

وَكانَ مَجمُوعُ مُدُنِ اللّاوِيِّينَ فِي داخِلِ أراضِي بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ ثَماني وَأربَعِينَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ مَراعِيها.
