F or this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not deal sharply when present, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up, and not for tearing down.

Perciò scrivo queste cose, essendo assente, affinché, quando sarò presente, non proceda rigidamente, secondo l'autorità che il Signore mi ha dato per l'edificazione e non per la distruzione.
