a nd thirty-two thousand persons in all, of the women who had not known man by lying with him.

وَاثْنَينِ وَثَلاثِينَ ألفاً مِنَ النّاسِ، أي النِّساءِ اللَّواتِي لَمْ يُعاشِرْنَ رَجُلاً قَطُّ.
