T hey all said to each other, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know who is responsible for this evil that is on us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

And they say each unto his neighbour, `Come, and we cast lots, and we know on whose account this evil on us.' And they cast lots, and the lot falleth on Jonah.
