F or the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.

Y es que la vida de todo ser está en la sangre. Yo les he dado a ustedes la sangre para que sobre el altar se haga expiación por ustedes. Por medio de la sangre misma se hace expiación por ustedes.
