Y ou have become guilty in your blood that you have shed, and are defiled in your idols which you have made; and you have caused your days to draw near, and have come even to your years: therefore have I made you a reproach to the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.

Per il sangue che hai sparso ti sei resa colpevole, e per gli idoli che hai fatto ti sei contaminata. Tu hai fatto avvicinare i tuoi giorni e sei giunta al termine dei tuoi anni; perciò io ti espongo all’insulto delle nazioni e allo scherno di tutti i paesi.
