M oses said, “It isn’t appropriate to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to Yahweh our God. Behold, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and won’t they stone us?

“Isso não seria sensato”, respondeu Moisés; “os sacrifícios que oferecemos ao Senhor, o nosso Deus, são um sacrilégio para os egípcios. Se oferecermos sacrifícios que lhes pareçam sacrilégio, isso não os levará a nos apedrejar?
