B ut the midwives feared God, and didn’t do what the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the baby boys alive.

لَكِنَّ القابِلَتَيْنِ كانَتا تَخافانِ اللهَ، فَلَمْ تَفعَلا كَما طَلَبَ مِنهُما مَلِكُ مِصرَ، بَلْ تَرَكَتا الأولادَ لِيَعِيشُوا.
