B ut the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

لَكِنَّ القابِلَتَيْنِ كانَتا تَخافانِ اللهَ، فَلَمْ تَفعَلا كَما طَلَبَ مِنهُما مَلِكُ مِصرَ، بَلْ تَرَكَتا الأولادَ لِيَعِيشُوا.
