T he couriers went out in haste by the king’s commandment, and the decree was given out in the citadel of Susa. The king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city of Shushan was perplexed.

Гонцы отправились быстро с царским повелением. Объявлен был указ и в Сузах, престольном городе; и царь и Аман сидели и пили, а город Сузы в смятении.
