E ach young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after her purification for twelve months (for so were the days of their purification accomplished, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet fragrances and with preparations for beautifying women).

A cada una de las doncellas le tocaba su turno para presentarse ante el rey Asuero. Esto era después de haberse sometido a un embellecimiento de doce meses, según era la costumbre para ellas: seis meses eran tratadas con aceite de mirra, y otros seis meses con perfumes y cosméticos femeninos.
