N ow when the turn of each young lady came to go in to King Ahasuerus, after the end of her twelve months under the regulations for the women—for the days of their beautification were completed as follows: six months with oil of myrrh and six months with spices and the cosmetics for women—

A cada una de las doncellas le tocaba su turno para presentarse ante el rey Asuero. Esto era después de haberse sometido a un embellecimiento de doce meses, según era la costumbre para ellas: seis meses eran tratadas con aceite de mirra, y otros seis meses con perfumes y cosméticos femeninos.
