S ome Gadites joined David in the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains:

Fra i Gaditi alcuni uomini scelsero di unirsi a Davide nella fortezza del deserto; erano uomini forti e valorosi, addestrati alla guerra, abili nel maneggiare scudo e lancia; le loro facce erano come le facce dei leoni e sui monti erano veloci come gazzelle.
