S ome Gadites joined David at the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for battle, who could handle shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as gazelles on the mountains:

Fra i Gaditi alcuni uomini scelsero di unirsi a Davide nella fortezza del deserto; erano uomini forti e valorosi, addestrati alla guerra, abili nel maneggiare scudo e lancia; le loro facce erano come le facce dei leoni e sui monti erano veloci come gazzelle.
