T hey brought the head of Ishbosheth to David to Hebron, and said to the king, “Behold, the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life! Yahweh has avenged my lord the king today of Saul, and of his offspring. ”

Luego, al llegar a Hebrón, le entregaron la cabeza al rey David y le dijeron: «Aquí tienes la cabeza de tu enemigo Isboset, el hijo de Saúl, que te quería matar. En este día el Señor ha permitido a Su Majestad vengarse de Saúl y de su descendencia.»
