A nd they brought the head of Ish-bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ish-bosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the Lord hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

Luego, al llegar a Hebrón, le entregaron la cabeza al rey David y le dijeron: «Aquí tienes la cabeza de tu enemigo Isboset, el hijo de Saúl, que te quería matar. En este día el Señor ha permitido a Su Majestad vengarse de Saúl y de su descendencia.»
