C ác quan trưởng đến tìm Giê-rê-mi và gạn hỏi. Người dùng những lời vua đã truyền mà đáp lại cùng các quan. Họ bèn thôi nói với người vì không ai biết việc đó.

Then all the princes came unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them according to all those words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.
