T ous les chefs vinrent auprès de Jérémie et le questionnèrent. Il leur répondit entièrement comme le roi l'avait ordonné. Ils gardèrent alors le silence et se retirèrent, car la chose ne s'était pas répandue.

Then all the princes came unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them according to all those words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.
