B ấy giờ, vua Rô-bô-am sai Ha-đô-ram, là người cai quản việc cống thuế, đến cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên; song dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ném đá người, thì người chết. Vua Rô-bô-am lật đật lên xe trốn về Giê-ru-sa-lem.

And king Rehoboam sendeth Hadoram, who over the tribute, and the sons of Israel cast at him stones, and he dieth; and king Rehoboam hath strengthened himself to go up into a chariot to flee to Jerusalem;
