I l re Roboamo mandò Hadoram, incaricato dei tributi, ma i figli d'Israele lo lapidarono, ed egli morì. Allora il re Roboamo si affrettò a salire su un carro per fuggire a Gerusalemme.

And king Rehoboam sendeth Hadoram, who over the tribute, and the sons of Israel cast at him stones, and he dieth; and king Rehoboam hath strengthened himself to go up into a chariot to flee to Jerusalem;
