T ha-rê dẫn Áp-ram, con trai mình, Lót, con trai Ha-ran, cháu mình, và Sa-rai, vợ Áp-ram, tức dâu mình, đồng ra khỏi U-rơ, thuộc về xứ Canh-đê, đặng qua xứ Ca-na-an. Khi đến Cha-ran thì lập gia cư tại đó.
