О н приносил своих сыновей в огненную жертву в долине Бен-Гинном, гадал и ворожил, и занимался волшебством. Он общался с вызывателями мертвых и чародеями. Он сделал много зла в глазах Господа, вызывая Его гнев.

He also made his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he practiced sorcery, and used enchantments, and practiced sorcery, and dealt with those who had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he did much evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger.
