F ece passare i suoi figli per il fuoco nella valle di Ben-Innom; si diede alla magia, agli incantesimi, alla stregoneria e istituì degli evocatori di spiriti e degli indovini; si abbandonò completamente a fare ciò che è male agli occhi del Signore, provocando la sua ira.

He also made his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he practiced sorcery, and used enchantments, and practiced sorcery, and dealt with those who had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he did much evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger.
