E n cambio, los primeros gobernadores que me antecedieron abrumaron al pueblo: les cobraban, por el pan y por el vino, más de cuarenta siclos de plata, y aun sus criados se enseñoreaban del pueblo. Pero yo no hice así, a causa del temor de Dios.

But the former governors that were before me were chargeable unto the people, and took of them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.
