D esciende y siéntate en el polvo, virgen hija de Babilonia. Siéntate en la tierra, sin trono, hija de los caldeos; porque nunca más te llamarán tierna y delicada.

Come down, and sit in the dust, O Virgin Daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground; there is no throne for you, O Daughter of the Chaldeans, for you shall no longer be called dainty and delicate.
