E ntonces me dije a mí mismo: «Si lo mismo que le espera al necio, también me espera a mí, ¿qué caso tiene esforzarme por ser más sabio?» Concluí entonces que también esto es vanidad,

Then I said to myself, “ As is the fate of the fool, it will also befall me. Why then have I been extremely wise?” So I said to myself, “This too is vanity.”
