C uando la reina de Sabá supo de la fama de Salomón, llegó a Jerusalén para ponerlo a prueba y hacerle preguntas difíciles. Llegó con un séquito muy grande. Traía camellos cargados de especias aromáticas, oro en abundancia, y piedras preciosas. Cuando se presentó ante Salomón, le habló con el corazón en la mano,

¶ And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with enigmas at Jerusalem, with a very great host and camels that bore spices and gold in abundance and precious stones. And when she was come to Solomon, she spoke with him of all that was in her heart.
