Y Jabés invocó al Dios de Israel. Dijo: «¡Cómo quisiera que me des tu bendición, que ensanches mi territorio, que tu mano esté conmigo y que me libres del mal, para que no sufra yo ningún daño!» Y Dios le concedió lo que pidió.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou would bless me indeed and enlarge my border and that thy hand might be with me and that thou would deliver me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
