L a fiesta religiosa que instituyó el día quince del mes octavo, fue una invención suya, y todo el pueblo participó en ella, y Jeroboán subió al altar para quemar incienso.

So he sacrificed upon the altar which he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, the month which he had devised of his own heart, and made a feast unto the sons of Israel; and he climbed up on the altar to burn incense.
